LADIES RETREAT - Final payments are due today.  "Walk Worthy" Colossians 1:10.  The retreat will be held at the Aliso Creek Inn, Laguna Beach on September 10-12, 2010.  www.alisocreekinn.com.

DEAF MINISTRY MONTHLY CHURCH POTLUCK - Come and join us today for our monthly potluck in the Fireside Room.  We'll begin about 30 minutes after service with a time of food & fellowship, followed by devotional.  Please bring a dish to share!

MEN'S RETREAT - The Men's Retreat will be held at Buckhorn Ranch in Idyllwild, September 24-25th.  The cost is $60.00 which includes food and lodging.  A deposit of $30 is required to register.

MENS & LADIES BIBLE STUDIES IN 2 CORINTHIANS - We will begin 2 Corinthians on September 14th & 16th.  Purchase your Bible Study book in the bookstore.  Ladies study is offered Tuesday mornings at 9am and Thursday evenings at 7pm.  Men's study is offered Thursday evenings at 7pm.  Childcare is available at both study times.  Please register for childcare by completing the form at the Information Desk in advance..

GUEST SPEAKER - Wednesday, Sept. 8th at 7pm, Dr. Thomas Kindell will be here at CCH speaking and giving a powerpoint presentation with the topic being "Design in the Universe -  Big Bang vs. Biblical Creation".  Invite a skeptic friend to attend!  Dr. Kindell is the founder and president of Reasons for Faith Ministries, Inc., a non-profit ministry dedicated to equipping Christian believers to "give every man an answer" for their Biblical faith.  For over 30 years he has engaged in a traveling teaching ministry lecturing on Biblical apologetics and the scientific case for creation.

PRAYER REQUEST SHEETS - The prayer request bulletin inserts are now in containers located on the sides of each of the agape boxes at the entrance to the sanctuary.  If you have a prayer request, please complete one of these and put in the agape box or turn in at the Information Desk.

 

MEALS MINISTRY - The meals ministry is designed to provide hot meals for those who have just had new babies and/or recovering from serious illness or surgeries.  This ministry is in need of volunteers.  You may be called upon a few times a year to provide one meal for a family in need.  There is not great expense involved, you do not have to prepare fancy meals and you do not have to be an accomplished cook.  If you would like to serve in this ministry, please sign up at the information desk.

ADULT CHRISTIAN EDUCATION CLASSES -

Sign-ups for these classes are at the information desk.  There are no class fees, but there is required reading for each class.  Purchase class books in our bookstore.

- TRUE DISCIPLESHIP

Sundays, Sept. 19, 26 & Oct. 3.  Noon - 3:00 pm.  Read the book "True Discipleship" by William McDonald, before attending this class.  True Discipleship falls under Servant Level 2 requirements.

- BORN AGAIN TO SERVE

Sundays, Oct. 10, 17 & 24.  Noon - 3:00 pm.  Read the book "Stop Dating The Church" by Joshua Harris before attending this class.  Born Again to Serve falls under Servant Level 2 requirements.

PRAYER & COMMUNION SERVICE - Next Sunday, September 5th at 6:30 pm, join us for worship, prayer & communion.  Elders & Pastors will be available to pray with you, for your needs, the neds of your friends and family & that of our church body.  Please come and be blessed.

CANS FOR CHRIST, BOTTLES FOR BROTHERS - We all have the opportunity to help provide for the needs of the persecuted church around the world through the recycling ministry.  Aluminum Cans and Beverage Bottles with 'CRV' can be dropped off on Sundays at the recycling shed (southeast corner of the property, near the Fireside Room).  Please, no milk jugs, glass or non-CRV items..  The Voice of the Martyrs receives 100% of all funds earned through this ministry.  Read all about V.O.M. at www.persecution.com 

CALVARY CHAPEL ACADEMY - FOR CHILDREN 2YRS. - 5 YRS. - The purpose of our school is to provide a stimulating and enriching experience for each child and to provide Christian schooling in a safe, clean, organized environment.  Our school program nurtures the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual growth of the child in a secure and loving environment.
